Advocacy and policy influencing
Evidence gathered in a community changes nothing until it reaches a decision. Our advocacy work is the deliberate business of carrying findings from the field into state, national and regional forums, and of representing the communities that produced them rather than speaking over them.

What this involves
Three things this area of work actually consists of
Carrying community-level evidence into the rooms where policy and financing are decided, at state, national and regional level.
Evidence to argument
Turning field findings into a case a ministry, funder or forum can act on, with the limitations stated rather than hidden.
Representation
Taking community-level evidence into regional and global forums, among them Africa CDC, Gavi and the World One Health Congress.
Coalition work
Working alongside other organisations where a shared position carries further than a single voice.
